Welcome to Happy Tails: Expert Dog Walking in Eynsford, Farningham, Shoreham, and Otford.
I'm Robert, founder of Happy Tails. As a dog lover myself with 25 years of experience of canine care, I understand the importance of quality care for your pets. My own dogs, Angie and Bruce, 8-year-old Frenchie Cross Staffie siblings, are living proof of the joy and companionship dogs bring to our lives.
Your dog deserves the best care. I am here to keep them happy, healthy, and well-exercised. Let's embark on tail-wagging adventures together!
At Happy Tails, my mission goes beyond simply walking dogs. I will ensure that your canine family members receive the exercise, mental stimulation, and affectionate attention they crave and deserve, especially when your busy schedule keeps you away. Whether we are embarking on an adventurous trek through the rolling hills of the Darent Valley, enjoying a leisurely stroll along the tranquil River Darent, or providing a cosy and caring pop-in visit at your home, I treat each and every pet as a cherished member of my own family.
My commitment to personalised, tailored care is at the heart of everything I do. I understand that just like humans, every dog is a unique individual with their own distinct personality, specific needs, and endearing quirks. That's why I go the extra mile (quite literally!) to get to know each of my canine clients personally. From the boisterous Boxer who needs an energetic run to the gentle senior Greyhound who prefers a slow, scenic walk, I ensure that every friend in my care receives the individual attention and customised experience they need to thrive. Tail-wagging happiness guaranteed!
I know that one size doesn't fit all when it comes to walkies! That's why Happy Tails specialises in walking options for single dogs and multiple dogs of the same family. Ideal for owners who prefer their pets to have one-on-one attention or whose dogs need special care. Every walk is thoughtfully matched to your dog's temperament, energy level, and social preferences.
My standard walks are 45 minutes, perfect for most pooches. But I know that some dogs march to the beat of their own drum, which is why we are always happy to accommodate custom durations upon request. Whether your toy dog needs a quick 15-minute trot or your high-energy hound craves a 60-minute endurance session, I've got you covered.
I don't believe in a one-walk-fits-all approach. Each outing is carefully tailored to suit your dog's individual needs and preferences. Does your Labrador love nothing more than a splashy swim in the River Darent? I'll make sure to include a safe water spot in my route. Is your Beagle all about those fascinating smells? I'll plan a sniff-tastic sensory walk through the picturesque Lullingstone Country Park. From gentle strolls for senior dogs to energetic runs for athletic breeds, I adapt each walk to ensure your pup has the best possible time. And don't worry about the weather – we are prepared for sun, rain, or shine, always prioritising your dog's comfort and safety.
My pet pop-in visits are designed to be the next best thing to you being there yourself. Each visit includes the essentials: a hearty meal served just the way your pet likes it, a refresh of their water bowl, a necessary potty break, and of course, plenty of playtime and TLC. But that's not all – we are also happy to administer any required medications, ensuring your pet's health needs are met even when you're away.
I believe in making every minute count. my standard pop-in visits last a generous 30 minutes, giving me ample time to attend to your pet's needs, engage them in stimulating play, and shower them with the affection they're missing from you. It's not just a visit; it's a mini play-date your pet will look forward to!
I understand that pet care is just one aspect of home care when you're away. That's why we are more than happy to provide those little extra services that make a big difference. Need someone to water your prized petunias? I am on it. Want your mail brought in? Consider it done. I can even adjust your blinds and turn lights on or off to give your home that lived-in look, providing an extra layer of security during your absence.
I hold professional dog walker insurance which can be viewed on request.
I know how much you miss your family dog when you're apart, which is why I've made communication a top priority. After each walk or visit, I'll send you detailed updates complete with adorable photos from my mobile phone. It's like being there with your pet, even when you can't be!
Your pet's safety is my utmost concern. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I have a comprehensive protocol in place. I maintain direct lines of communication with local veterinary services in Eynsford and surrounding areas, and will contact you immediately should any issues arise. Rest assured, I am prepared to act swiftly and effectively in any situation.

Every great relationship starts with a great first impression. That's why I always begin with a free, no-obligation meet-and-greet. This gives me the opportunity to get to know you and your pet, understand your specific needs and preferences, and ensure that we are the perfect fit for your furry family member. It's also a chance for your pet to get comfortable with me, setting the stage for a fantastic ongoing relationship.
